i4 ecosystem links students & faculty of partner & participating institutions for research, commercialization & training programs.
i4 Lab is engaged in cutting edge RESEARCH to find solutions to some of the pressing problems world is facing today in housing, healthcare, energy, mobility and agriculture by bringing multidisciplinary teams of partner institutions faculty members.
The overall goal of this collaborative project Iis the need of general practitioner (GP)/family medicine (FM) education in India. As identified in a landscape analysis conducted by the research team , there is a need to develop a core foundation for generalists in undergraduate training, post-graduate specialization in GP/FM, and GP/FM accredited courses . GP/FM education reform is an essential component of strengthening healthcare in primary and secondary facilities. As India moves forward with developing a framework for Universal Healthcare Coverage well-trained GP/FM practitioners will be a key component to accomplishing expanded health coverage particularly in rural and low-resource settings.
I4 has brought together a multidisciplinary team of researchers & experts between Henry Ford Health System, MI, USA and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) , New Delhi, India with background in technology, clinical & analytical skills working together to accelerate the pace of discovery for early detection of pancreatic cancer, resulting in a chance for patients to live longer with higher quality of life. Currently, only approximately 20% of patients are found early enough for curative treatment, leaving approximately 80% of patients with non-curative options.
i4 along with its partner institutions faculty members work to create pathway for COMMERCILISATION of research with participating corporates or startup
Obesity is not just a problem of “girth control”. it is now considered a chronic disease by the American Medical Association. it is not just a weight problem: it can have serious effects on a person’s physical, metabolic and psychological health. Henry Ford Health System licensed its 500 health recipes, 250 of which were heart smart to Idiom System a corporate partner of i4, which has developed an AI, based platform to monitor, manage people health and lifestyle through machine learning techniques & also included 1400 Indian recipes for better outcomes for the algorithm.
Geography
should not dictate the standard of care for medical therapy. Today, millions of
people lack basic access to quality medical care due to geographic and
financial limitations. The ability to manage these cases from afar can have a
profound impact on patient and financial outcomes and can literally be the
difference between life and death. I4 is engaged with leading experts in
medicine, communication and equipment technology between its institutional
partners in USA and India to create this cost effective solutions of virtual
care covering preventive healthcare, emergency care, ICU management and tele-medicine.

10 million people have tuberculosis globally. More people die to TB then any other infectious disease including HIV-AIDS. 50% of the treatment is ineffective due to drug resistance and currently there are 19 drugs for TB. Aarogya AI is working with i4 to develop an AI enabled Saas platform for rapidly diagnose drug resistance tuberculosis. The AI does a DNA sequencing of bacteria infected patient. The DNA is uploaded to Aarogya AI drug susceptibility status report. The clinical trails will undergo in the second quarter of 2020 in coordination with HFHS Global Health initiative and department of infectious disease.
